On Monday 25 June 2012 Mr Scott Emerson, Minister for Transport and Main Roads approved the Park Ridge Connector (PRC) Motorway to proceed.
Both the Department of Transport and Mains Roads (DTMR) and the Logan City Council (LCC) have determined there IS a viable road corridor available through the refined area of interest. As at Friday 29 June 2012 the department had still failed to release a public statement of the decision and the “viable road corridor” location!
The No PRC Group Executive Team requests your assistance to raise the community outrage of this decision, see our Immediate Action page.
Do not give up, we will not give up!
What is the Park Ridge Connector (PRC)?
The PRC Motorway is a Queensland State government initiative, supported by the Logan City Council (LCC) to build a 6 lane (100 metre wide) extension to the Logan Motorway south from Wembley Road (Berrinba) to Granger Road (Park Ridge south) with future extensions planned to the area north of Camp Cable Road, Jimboomba. The primary function of this motorway is for long distance freight from the Logan Motorway through to Bromelton. Area of Interest Map

There are general issues that are significant to all divisions – try talking, emailing or phoning your local councilor or new candidates to get their opinions about the following concerns that are still unresolved:
The environmental assessment was predominantly desk top evaluations with little field assessments. This has restricted the ground-truth of most environmental values. An historical lack of any field assessment is associated with the proposed corridor route and the MLNBSA. Seasonal, field and long term assessment of the environment is critical and has not been conducted to date by Logan City Council & State Government and is largely missing from the draft planning scheme.
